Hey all,

There is a movement to _preserve_ network neutrality which is currently
being threatened by large telecoms. These large telecoms want to be able to
make certain data (read: their own or information "sponsored" by the highest
bidder) transfer faster and at the expense of "non-privileged" information.

Imagine Google services loading slower because Yahoo! paid your internet
provider to favor it's information. Or imagine the videos at
www.youtube.comslowing to a crawl because your telecom has a deal with
some media
conglomerate to deliver primarily "media conglomerate friendly" videos
(read: pop videos and advertisements).

The beauty and the power of the internet is that it allows anyone, anywhere,
to publish whatever they want, free of inherent network bias and judged only
on merit. Don't let power-brokers take this away from us!
