Hey, I saw this online, it looks like a pretty good opportunity for CSE
majors who are women; http://www.gnome.org/projects/wsop/ is the
website, basically like Google's SoC, you can get paid $3000 for two
months of working on open-source code for the GNOME desktop on Linux.

If anyone needs some suggestions on how to write an application, check
out code.google.com/soc and read some of the abstracts;
http://code.google.com/soc/gnome/appinfo.html?csaid=FDDA9F7744B44BBA is
a decent example, and if anyone needs help finding out what this whole
"Linux" thing is all about, definitely send either the OSUOSS list
(opensource at cse.ohio-state.edu) or send me an Email and I'll talk all
day about it!
