This workshop might be of interest to some of you, esp. those of you
who have an interest in working with hardware. The arduino is an open
source microprocessor that has become increasingly popular in recent
years. This workshop is also suitable for kids who have an interest in
robotics and electrical engineering. Here are the workshop details:

TItle: Make an arduino from scratch
Location: Wild Goose Creative (2491 Summit Street, Columbus OH -
directions and parking)
Time: 11:00am - 2:00pm
Workshop level: Beginner
Instructor: Shawn Augustson
Cost: $45 ($25 for instruction, $20 for the arduino kit) - children
under 18 accompanied by an adult are FREE (2 max, please)

In this workshop, participants will learn to create an arduino from
scratch, using an easy-to-assemble kit from ArduinoFun.com. This
workshop is a great introduction to the arduino for kids and adults, as
well as an excellent introduction to robotics and electronic
engineering in general. Participants will be led through the process of
creating an arduino, which they will be able to take with them and use
for future projects.

The arduino has become the microprocessor of choice for artists,
designers, roboticists and hobbyists around the world due to its
affordability and ease of use.
