Hey guys/gals:

I am gifting my sister a MacBook Pro - Wired Out has the 13.3" (2.4GHz, Intel Core2Duo, 4GB RAM, 250GB Hard Drive, Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics, DVD+-RW, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth, iSight Camera, SD card slot, 10hr battery, Aluminum Uni-body enclosure, Glass Multitouch Trackpad) for $1,099 this price includes a free All-in-One Printer/Scanner (I am hoping to sell on craigslist for $50) and a FREE iPod Touch after MAIL-IN-REBATE (value $200).

Can I expect to cash in at least $225 between the printer/scanner and iPod Touch to bring my laptop cost to under $900 or does anyone know of a better deal- all I need is the best deal out there on the current MacBook (Aluminum Uni-body) 13.3" or 15.4" ... thoughts?

I would appreciate any suggestions/ideas/...

Thanks,
Mustafa Bootwala

Hi,

I'm a member of the Ubuntu Ohio LoCo team, and I'm working on setting
up a meeting space in Columbus for the Ubuntu Global Jam (August
27th-29th). OSU tells me that its $125 to reserve a classroom for a
day; that is unless its associated with a student organization. I was
wondering if you all would be interested in collaborating on this event
(and possible future ones as well)? The LoCo teams are completely
volunteer run and don't have any monetary assets.

Later,
Mike
